And for clarification, I don't mean to imply that Marylanders are harboring immigrants on Twitter. I should have noted that he thanked Marylanders via his Twitter account. Crazy English language.
I know the term "Illegal Immigrants" is not an accurate term to describe people that are in this country illegally. The people themselves are not illegal. They are here illegally. But the term Illegal Immigrant has resonance to the intelligent community who are concerned about the flow of people into this country illegally and who are using an ever-increasing amount of financial resources that should be used for Americans.
Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley thanked Marylanders today for illegally harboring children who are entering this country illegally. The issue of unaccompanied minors crossing into the United States has become a lightning rod issue. Send them back without parental support or guidance? Allow them to stay here and become wards of the state? Allow them to return to a country torn by poverty and violent drug cartels who were armed by Obama? Allow them to stay here and suck off the teet of my wallet? I don't think there is a good answer here.
I do know that Martin O'Malley is proud that our money is supporting these future Democratic voters.
What do you think should be done?
