What's your point?
a) What I've read indicates neither should be saluting members of the military as Presidents are civilians
b) Obama could have left his coffee on the helicopter. Bush is responsible for his dog.
c) Neither were appropriate. I'm more offended being saluted by a coffee than a dog.
The salute was started by Reagan and wasn't even an 'official' tradition. For what it's worth...
